Château d'Arche, located 40 km south of Bordeaux, benefits from the unique microclimate created by the Garonne and Ciron rivers. The combination of morning fog and dry afternoons in late summer provides the perfect conditions for concentrating the aromas in the grapes. Sauternes production is highly limited, with only 2,000 bottles per hectare at Château d'Arche, making it one of the lowest yields in the world. Founded in 1611 by Etienne d’Arche, the estate has a long family history tied to Bordeaux. The botrytised grapes used for Sauternes not only create complex wines but also contain resveratrol, a polyphenol with health benefits.
