La Lomellina di Gavi traces its roots back to the late 16th century when the Genoese aristocracy, including the Lomellini family, expanded beyond the city walls. Attracted by the scenic beauty of southern Piemonte, Giacomo Lomellini established his estate near Gavi, naming it La Lomellina. Over centuries, it became a symbol of the family's legacy. In 2006, under Emanuela Croce Raggio’s care, the estate was revitalized. The villa, church, and gardens were restored, while the winery was modernized. Today, La Lomellina spans 16 hectares of vineyards, producing high-quality Gavi. A dedicated team of professionals, including agronomists, oenologists, and technicians, works together to uphold the estate’s reputation for excellence in winemaking.
