Genevieve MCC is a boutique sparkling wine producer located in the Bot River region, specialising exclusively in Méthode Cap Classique (South Africa’s traditional method for sparkling wines). Founded by Melissa Genevieve Nelsen, the estate was born from her personal passion for crafting world-class sparkling wines. She selected a pocket of Chardonnay in the Van der Stel Pass as the foundation for her vision, and produced her first vintage in 2008, released in 2010. Genevieve’s wines are characterised by long time on lees, precisely controlled interventions, and an emphasis on clarity, finesse and balance. Their portfolio includes Blanc de Blancs and a Rosé Cap Classique made from Shiraz, both displaying expressive aromatics, fine mousse and structural elegance.
